DIRECTOR, LAW REFORM COMMISSION(LARCOM)
Oluyemisi Adefoluke Ogunlola is a seasoned legal professional with decades of experience and deep expertise in legislative drafting, legal advisory, and administration with a Law degree from the University of Lagos, Akoka. She began her career with Lagos State in 1994, in the Legislative Drafting Department of the Ministry of Justice after being called to the bar in 1990.
She rose to become a Director in 2015 and has built an impressive career across six prominent government parastatals, including the Lagos State House of Assembly, Lagos Waste Management Authority, and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Ministry of Youth & Social Development where she played key legal and administrative roles.
A holder of a Master’s degree in Legislative Drafting from the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Oluyemisi has a comprehensive understanding of Lagos State’s legal and administrative framework. She has served in various leadership capacities, from heading legal departments across government parastatals to leading the Legislative Drafting Department of the Ministry of Justice and serving as Secretary to Governing Boards. Her versatility, hard work, and leadership have consistently set her apart.
In addition to her legal credentials, Mrs Oluyemisi Ogunlola holds a professional degree in Administration from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN). Her administrative capabilities have been integral to the success of numerous initiatives across the public sector, with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and legal reform that meets the evolving needs of society.
Passionate about mentorship and making an impact, Oluyemisi is dedicated to empowering those she encounters. Whether through informal chats, contributions to legal discourse, or supporting personal dreams, she is always eager to share her knowledge and experience. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and unwinding with a good movie.
