Mr. Oyenuga Hameed Olanrewaju
Solicitor General & Permanent SecretaryHameed Olanrewaju Oyenuga was born on November 30, 1966, into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Oyenuga in Ikorodu, Lagos State. He proudly hails from Ikorodu in the Ikorodu Local Government Area of Lagos State.
His educational journey began at Jamatul-Islamiyyah Primary School in Ikorodu, followed by secondary education at Government College Ikorodu, Lagos State. He earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Rivers State University of Science and Technology (1989) and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar after completing his studies at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1990. He also holds a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Lagos.
Mr. Oyenuga transitioned into public service in 1991 following early career placements with Moses Akinsola & Co. during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Minna, Niger State (1990–1991), and subsequently as an Associate at GK Talabi & Co.
He served distinctively as a Legal Officer across various Local Government Areas in Lagos State until 2006, when he was redeployed to the Mainstream of the Lagos State Public Service with posting to the Ministry of Justice. Rising through the ranks, he became a full Director in 2013 and was later appointed Director of Advisory Services and Judicial Liaison (2018–2020). Since 2020, he has served as the Director of Civil Litigation, coordinating litigation for and in defence of the State Civil cases.

State Policy Development
He has contributed extensively to the structural development of state policies through strategic membership in various ad hoc committees:
Committee on the working of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and the Lagos State Water Ways Authority (LASWA) in Lagos State.
Ministry of Justice Liaison Committee between Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and Security Agencies, like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), and other security agencies.
