PRESS RELEASE: NBA 2024 SPECIAL “LAGOS DAY:A SHOWCASE OF LAGOS CULTURAL HERITAGE AND SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS

With the goal of showcasing Lagos rich cultural heritage and significant achievements,  the State Government organized a Special “Lagos Day” event during the 64th NBA Annual General Conference on Tuesday, 27th August, 2024 at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, Lagos.

In his address, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Lawal Pedro, SAN ,stated that Lagos has made great efforts to showcase its achievements in various sectors of the nation, while aiming to attract local and international investors thereby fostering economic growth and development in the State.

He noted that this year’s NBA Conference will provide visitors from other states with a memorable experience of Lagos life. He also referred to the earlier Justice Reform Summit which focused on addressing legal issues, including reducing case durations and expediting landlord-tenant disputes.

The AG further reiterated the developments that will be made for Magistrates in the coming months. This is to demonstrate the State’s commitments to supporting its judicial officers.

The event was a success, blending culture(Eyo Iyepe Dance), achievements, innovation and legal expertise with the unique energy of Lagos State.

Other attendees include, PS Lands Bureau, Mr. Kamar Owodiran Olowoshago; PS Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Mr. Sesan Tunde Ogundeko; Directors and Counsel in the Lagos Ministry of Justice, Legal Practitioners and  representatives from different  Agencies and MDAs  in the State.
